Annette is to Maher Animal Hospital what Butter Krisp and Bears is to the town of Covington - you can't have one without the other! Anyone who has walked through our doors has seen Annette's sweet smile and watched her conquer several tasks at once, never breaking a sweat. What you see is only the beginning! She is a fantastic listener, known to predict a pet's diagnosis before they walk in the door. She is a friend and confidant to all fellow employees. She has one son, Vincent, who is a student at Southeastern.
Kameron is a three time state champion barrel racer, which adequately trained her for working our front desk in an often hectic environment. Her multitasking skills are also tested when chasing after her active toddler, Karson. Kam has been an integral member of Maher Animal Hospital for 6 years and counting.
Callie has been eliciting belly laughs in Maher Animal Hospital for over 10 years. She is an incredible artist of many different media, and holds a degree from LSU in Studio Art. She is known to play practical jokes on Dr. Rusty and always keeps him on his toes. Her favorite was putting a life-size photo of Dr Rusty on the roof of the clinic for his 60th birthday! (see photo below) She loves assisting in complicated dental procedures and anesthesia. Callie works both at the front desk and a tech in the exam room and surgery. She is absolutely vital to our operations.
Maddie joined our family less than a year ago and has hit her stride! She specializes in client communication. She can handle any situation! She lives in Ponchatoula and has a younger brother. She enjoys reading, listening to music and anything to do with makeup. Maddie always has a smile on her face and new ideas! We love her and we know you will too.
Nick has been working with us since he was 16 years old. He is a student at LA Tech and is in their pre-vet program. His dad worked here as a high schooler and was often tasked with entertaining Katie and Kyle as kids! His grandfather Ron was a close friend of Dr. Rusty’s and directed many of our renovations through the years, helping us add on our second exam room and even hanging pictures and shelves. Nick is cool under pressure and never gets riled up. We are very lucky that he and his entire family have been an integral part of this office for 30 years!
Brooklynne has been with Maher Animal Hospital for a year. Her first day here was her birthday! That is what we call a great start! She graduated from Covington High School and won a scholarship to Northshore Technical College for the Vet Tech Program. She loves Huskies and Australian Shepherds. She has a twin brother named Gabriel. She also loves working with horses and this is where she gets her strength. She loves painting in her free time. Every client that has been in the exam room with Brooklynne loves talking to her, and she says she feels at home with our clients and their pets. Brooklynne is friendly, dedicated and passionate about animal health!
